Dear Eliza,
How are you? I haven’t
talked to you in a while. How are you settling in, in your new country?
Yesterday I watched the home movies of when we were young. How young and cute
we were!
Everyone is asking me about
you at school. Now that you are gone I realized what a big role you play in my
life. I miss your jokes and how you used to make me laugh. I never take off the
necklace that you gave me for my twelfth birthday. Now I realized how much I
took those fun moments in our life for granted.
I still can’t accept the fact
that you are gone. I really miss you after school. We always used to walk home
from school together. How much I used to call you when I had a problem in my
homework! Maybe I never showed you how much your friendship means to me. Have I
ever told you that every time I think about our friendship I remember the time
in grade two when everyone was picking on me and you were the only one who
wanted to be my friend?
I just wanted you to know that
I will never forget you or forget the things you did for me. Remember that
friendship can stretch over any distance. If you ever need anything know that I
am always here J
