A Letter to a Friend

Dear Lisa,

How are you ? I hope all is well! I met this person who is quite important in my life. She has an amazing character and she always brightens up my mood. Let me tell you about her.

Her name is Natasha, although everyone calls her Nat for short. I met her at school as she is in my class. She is quite tall, although not as tall as me but still quite tall!

Nat has got brown hair and blue eyes. She has even got some freckles. She is always joking around and making my friends and me laugh. Surprisingly, she is half English and half Maltese. Her mum is English whilst her dad is Maltese. She is English speaking but is not bad, actually not bad at all, when it comes to speak in Maltese.

Nat is quite busy after school, especially on Fridays. On that day she finishes school at half past one, and at two she has piano lessons till half past four, then at five she has scouts till eight. Apart from that, she has football and drama lessons once a week.

She comes up with these crazy ideas which are often quite random.  Although she is involved in a lot of activities she still finds time to study and does very well in school.

That’s all for today. I hope to hear from you. Please write back!

Hello Abigail,

How are you doing in England? I hope you`re doing alright. I`m really missing you. When you left my sister was only a baby. I`ve decided to tell you a bit about her. I hope you will have fun reading about her!

Nowadays, Martina is eight years old. She has brown eyes and her hair colour is yellowish brown. She has fair skin. Martina is thin and average height for her age. Martina and I go to the same school but obviously I am in secondary school while she is still in junior school. Strangely, this year she is having fun going to school. She says that her teacher is very nice.

She started going to piano lessons once a week. She sat for her first exam and did very well. She also goes to Cathecism twice a week. She has a lot of free time and loves to draw during this time. She really is becoming a little artist. We don`t argue but a lot but I hate it when she starts shouting.

I wish I can tell you this in person or maybe, I will some day! But until then bye, bye and I hope you had fun reading about my sister.

                                                          Your friend,
                                                          Sarah Marie xxx

An Important Person in my Life

Dear Michaela,

Thanks for your letter. Today I want to tell you about the most important person in my life, my mother Rose. My mum is the most important person in my life because she cares for me. She loves me and she is there when I need her.

She was brought up in Burmarrad and later in Mosta. She has two elder sisters and a younger brother.  My mum says that when she was a child she was quite a tomboy. She loved doing things more associated with boys such as running, gymnastics and riding her bicycle at fast speeds. She was also very fond of motorcycles and cars.

My mother is quite tall and slim. She has brown eyes and curly hair. My dad says she is very pretty and has a good taste in fashion, a statement with which I agree.

She is sweet, kind, caring, loving and funny and does not get upset about trivial issues. Mu mum is like a counsellor as she is very good at solving problems and listening.

My mother is an extraordinary person. She gives us all her time and more and she dedicates her life to us. I wish that if I ever became a mother I would be the same.

That’s all for today. I would be very happy to hear again from you in the near future.

                                                                                                                                        Yours truly

                                                                                                             Norah J

Hey Pam,
How are you? Today I’m going to tell you about my little brother. My little brother was born last year on Wednesday the fifth of October. Once born, we decided to name him Ryker Cioffi Galea. Now he is one year old and he is the most important person in my life!

Ryker was very cuddly and quiet when he was younger, as opposed to now. He loves running around the house and screaming! He also likes watching his favourite programme ‘In the Night Garden’ as well as the news and the weather forecast. Ryker has got brown eyes, a cheeky smile, curly hair (which is brown too!) and five teeth. This month Ryker learnt the words ‘daddy’, ‘mummy’ and ‘birdy’. He has also gone crawling on all fours! Ryker has been attending a nursery school and he loves going there because he loves seeing his teachers. My little brother adores eating, playing and washing. Ryker loves animals and swimming and dancing.

Ryker is the most important person in my life because he is my only brother. Something which I treasure is that I have been present for all the important days of his life till now. I love Ryker and I’m sure he loves me too!

Regards,
                                                                                                                                                     Noray
