An Email about a Funny Shopping Experience

Dear Charelle,

                        Hi! How are you? I hope you are well. How’s everything in England? I hope you’re having fun. I had so much fun today! I went out with my friends to Sliema. I told you that I was going out with my friends, didn’t I? We were seven girls in all; we were quite a group.

                        We all met at The Point. When we arrived, we went inside to start our shopping. We first started shopping at New Look . My friends and I started looking around. I saw this beautiful short blue dress. My friends told me that I should go and try it on…and that’s what I did.

                        When I tried it on it looked pretty. I decided to buy it. In the meantime, the others bought a lot of clothes. After some shopping, we decided to go and eat at Mc Donalds. It was so good! After finishing our food, we went shopping again.

                        We went to Accessorize to look at the things on display. I heard Amy and Corinne (my friends) calling me. I thought something happened, so I went as fast as I could. When I found them, they showed me these fake moustaches they had found. Amy bought them!

                         All my friends wore one, except for me. I started running away from them as fast as I could but they started running after me! Today was surely the funniest and most enjoyable shopping day ever. Bye for now J

A Shopping Experience

                                 Hi! It’s me again. I hope you enjoyed my last story on my journey to Florida. Well, today I will write about a funny shopping experience.

                              

                                    This shopping experience happened in America. It was basically a fun and kind of scary but it was surely fun. We were in Florida, Orlando in Down Town Disney. In Down Town Disney there are shops and restaurants. It all started when my cousin Yentl  took my sister Milena and me to Down Town Disney. We had three tickets to go and eat at Plannet Hollywood. Before we went to eat we went shopping a little bit. The shop are really huge over there and amazing. They are also quite cheap.

                         

                                It all started in front of Lego Land Shop. It was where my sister and I saw the Jonas Brothers singing. We got caught up watching them but we did not notice that Yentl went on without us. It was quite terrifying, but we decided to stay there. After about five minutes a security passed by and we told him that we could not find our cousin. He stayed and called the security to go and find her. A few minutes later the security came back with Yentl who they found in Lego Land shop.

                            We then went and ate an amazing and delicious meal at Planet Hollywood. We promised and crossed our hearts that we wouldn’t tell anyone what happened. I hope you enjoyed the story. Thank you! I am attaching a map of the whole place, including Disney too.

The Funniest Shopping Day of my Life

Hi Michela,

How are you? I hope that you did well in your exams. I am still waiting for the results. Last week , on Saturday, I spent a day shopping at Sliema. It was a relief after all those exams, hard work and studying. I stayed in Sliema from nine in the morning till seven in the evening.

I went from one shop to another buying whatever I liked, not even looking at the price tag. I did not only buy clothes but even jewellery and lovely things for home. I went in a very big and particular shop which I liked best.

At first, I was having fun picking what I liked and putting it in the basket. But when I went to pay all this  happened.  When the cashier told me the price I had the fright of my life. I did not have enough money to pay for all the items. I felt ashamed in front all those people looking at me with an angry smile. I had to give up most of the items. This was something dreadful to me. When I paid for the other items and finally went in another shop I realized that I had forgotten the bag behind me. I was scared going back after that whole story but finally I decided to pluck some courage and go to the shop and look for it. When I went to the shop I looked around and also asked the shopkeeper. I had another big fright because I thought the bag was not there.

Finally I realized that my friend Mariam had been pulling a leg. She had taken the bag herself. She was only playing a joke on me. I was so relieved that I laughed till I cried.

A Shopping Experience

Dear Michaela,

       How are you? I’m fine. Today I’m going to tell you what happened last weekend. My family got invited to a wedding and my mum and I went shopping in Valletta. My mum bought a dress from the third shop we entered but I could not find a dress I liked from any shop L

       We went to so many shops that I lost count. I was exhausted and I was looking in every shop to see if I liked anything. In a flash I saw this beautiful green dress. I saw the dress on a photo outside the shop so I entered quickly to ask the salesgirl if she had a matching purse, since I had already bought the shoes I was going to wear.

       The lady at the store and the people in the store looked at me surprised. The lady at the counter told me she had a matching purse and the dress. I felt happy but then she told me “The smallest size I have is a size 17”. I stared at her quite confused. She continued by saying “I could spin the dress around you three times”. I then realized that I had entered an over-size shop. All the people in the shop laughed at me, including my mum.

       I felt so humiliated! Anyway I’m off shopping. I hope I will find something! Talk to you later J

My Hilarious Shopping Experience

Hi Eunice,

                 How are you? Today I am going to tell you about the time I went shopping with my mum and sister Shanel.

                 We went shopping at Tigne Point, Sliema when the accident happened. At that moment it wasn't funny, but now that I'm thinking about it, it is hilarious. It was a hot and sunny day and I was very excited. I rushed to my mum while walking so she would buy me the red dress that I wanted for so long.

                 We went near the lifts when we arrived but there were lots of people, so I took the stairs. This is where the accident happened. I was running down the stairs when I tripped. There was a really ugly boy in front of me so when I tripped I pushed him and when we fell we came face to face. It seemed as if we were kissing. Ugh!! First fail!

                  Later, I went to the shop and bought the dress that I was dying to have. When I paid we headed home because I didn't want to stay where that boy was. When we arrived home I tried on the dress and it did not fit me so it tore. Second fail!

                 That was the funniest and most horrible experience I have ever had. I hope you write back.
